Finally a all public type french movie has come out in the States compared to the ones we are used to see on the US market. A great period story with a great cast of some of the new generation of french actors. A period piece but treating subjects still so modern; religion war, love. arrange unions.......It is taking place in a difficult and controversial period of the french history but it is not the focus of the movie more the life of all these people who took part in it. .The cinematography is incredible with beautiful shots of the French countryside. You can go as a family, girls or boys will appreciate it; I would say around 12.Bertrand Tavernier did it again, I will encourage the american public to see that movie so they have an idea of what the french public is used to see in France compare to the too often dark french movies we are used to be offered here. I hope we will get more of them in the future. Go see it you will not regret it
